Modat Welcomes Karen Sundermann as Head of Public Sector

Modat is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Sundermann as Head of Public Sector. Karen brings more than a decade of experience at the intersection of cyber threat intelligence, data analytics, and public safety, and joins Modat at a pivotal moment as demand from government organizations for smarter, faster threat response continues to grow.

Most recently, Karen served as VP Government Sector at EclecticIQ, where she led the global federal government business. In that role, she built and managed partnerships with National Cyber Security Centers, defense organizations, and law enforcement agencies across Europe and Asia. Prior to EclecticIQ, Karen spent years at IBM supporting public safety and security agencies throughout Europe, with a particular focus on identity fraud detection and disrupting organized crime networks.

Her deep understanding of the structural and operational challenges facing public and cybersecurity organizations positions her well to lead Modat's work with governments, helping public-sector teams close the gap between digital threats and resilience.

Karen's appointment reflects Modat's continued investment in the public sector as a strategic growth area.
